Can you complete a task using all methods that Microsoft Office Supports?

Yes. A huge part of our development and QA efforts are focused on ensuring that the robustness of the simulation is significantly improved from all existing Office 2003 products. A key piece of this is working to ensure the simulation allows a student to complete a question using any valid method available in the live application.

Can I randomize the order of the questions in an exam?

Yes. Objective Based Questions (OBQs) and Performance Based Questions (PBQs) are kept separate, so randomization will occur within Objective Based Questions and Performance Based Questions. PBQs and OBQs do not get randomized together.

Is there a way for someone with a poor Internet connection to install myitlab files on their local machine?

Yes. We strongly recommend that all users use the myitlab Installation Wizard to download the myitlab simulation files onto your computer to use myitlab. This will ensure the best performance even if you are running on an Internet connection that is slower than 56.6K, or if you are concerned about the reliability of your Internet connection.

What is the ActiveX plug-in and why do I need it for myitlab?

The ActiveX plug-in is what allows your computer to use the files that myitlab sends over the internet and it serves as a translator to your Internet Browser. The plug-in is very small and certified as authentic by Pearson Prentice Hall. The ActiveX control will not affect anything else on your computer and can be completely removed once you no longer wish to access myitlab.
