We want to make it easy for you to get started with myitlab! We offer several ways for you to learn about myitlab and how to incorporate it into your course. Keep reading to learn more about our training options and consider which types of training work best for you.

Getting Started with myitlab

Are you new to myitlab? Check out our myitlab Getting Started Guide for Office 2007, created specifically for first-time instructors who are working with pre-built courses. Learn how to modify your courses and become familiar with basic myitlab functionality.

myitlab Quick Tours

These myitlab Quick Tours are designed to show you -- step-by-step -- how to complete key tasks in myitlab, like scheduling exams for one student, deleting submissions for a student, and more. We'll keep posting new tours on key topics requested by you and your peers, so check back often!

Live Online Training

Our myitlab Faculty Advocates host weekly WebEx sessions for you to learn more about all aspects of the myitlab system. During the WebEx, participants view the trainers' computer screen and have the opportunity to interact with myitlab during the workshop. You'll need a computer with a broadband (T1, cable, DSL) Internet connection and a phone to call in to the toll-free conference line.

We’re offering several different sessions weekly, so whether you are considering adopting myitlab and need to learn the basics, or you are currently using myitlab and want to learn how to use it more effectively, we can help!

  We recommend that you attend our Training Sessions from Level 1 through Level 4 in that order to get the most from each session.
  Sessions are limited to 6 attendees to maximize your learning experience.

Are you considering adding online training and assessment to your courses?

myitlab: Adding Grader to Your Course
 

This session is being offered to instructors currently using myitlab who want to add Grader Projects to their courses.

If you are new to myitlab, please sign up for a myitlab: Level 1, Getting Started session, where you will be introduced to myitlab Grader as part of the full myitlab functionality.

3) Student View of downloading, completing and uploading Grader assignments

5) Working with Integrity Violations

 
myitlab: Level 1, Getting Started
 

The main focus of this session is to prepare instructors to get started with myitlab and to set up their Course Section(s).

Also covered in this session:
1) Basic myitlab functionality
2) Setting up and customizing your myitlab course
3) Modifying and adding content
4) Setting Scheduling Options

 
myitlab: Level 2, Beyond the Basics
 

This is a continuation of the training from Level 1. Emphasis is on effectively using myitlab with your students.

The hosts also cover:
1) Creating and scheduling tests
2) Using the Gradebook and Reports
3) Tips and tricks

 
myitlab: Level 3, Gradebook I
 

Instructors currently using or planning to use myitlab in classes (some basic knowledge of myitlab, and have completed Level 2, Beyond the Basics training).

The agenda includes:
1) Gradebook Custom View
2) Submissions (View, Edit, Delete)
3) Upload and Download Gradebook items
4) Tips and Tricks

 
myitlab: Ask a Faculty Advocate
 

This is primarily a Question & Answer session for instructors using myitlab who have gone through an initial Level 1 Training.

The hosts also cover:
1) Tips and tricks
2) Shortcuts
3) Use of new features

 
myitlab: Program Administrator
 

This session is intended for Program Administrators (PADMs) only and is primarily a Question & Answer session.

The agenda includes:
1) Creating a master course template
2) Copying content between course sections
3) Copying sections from a template
4) Working with Shared Libraries
5) Other PADM functions

Local On-Campus Training

Schedule an on-campus faculty training session with your local technology sales director by contacting your Prentice Hall sales representative. Training sessions are tailored to prepare you and your colleagues to successfully implement myitlab in your introductory computer applications courses.
